Doug is a winner of American and British Academy Awards, two Emmys (nine nominations), the Saturn, the Visual Effects Society Award, and the Peabody. A protege of legendary artist Dick Smith, his makeup career culminated with the iconic characters of Dick Tracy, after which he branched out into a variety of Hollywood disciplines.   Drexler has served as visual effects supervisor, makeup effects supervisor, illustrator, sculptor, scenic artist, and graphic designer. A creative mainstay on Star Trek for seventeen years, his credits include Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise (for which he designed the legendary NX-01), as well as four feature films.   Doug recently served as CG supervisor and artist on SyFy’s critically-acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica and Defiance.
